Lopar is a tourist resort on the island, the farthest from the ancient town of Rab, the administrative center of the island. It abounds in sandy beaches and untouched bays with crystal clear water. The local population is involved in tourism, agriculture, livestock and fisheries. Lopar is surrounded by numerous islands and islets, notably Goli, Grgur, Školjić.
The largest and most famous is the Paradise Beach, 1.5 km long, with her most tourist center capacity, and has a Blue Flag, an international symbol of quality and preservation of environment and safety of bathers. Not far from paradise beach there is also an attractive Livacina, where in the shade of pines, several catering establishments which offer food and refreshments and a large assortment of beach and sea.
Those who prefer a more intimate atmosphere and peaceful time at the beach with fewer bathers, continue their way to other bays along the coast of Lopar. Sahara is the most famous Lopar nudist beach. It is located near Paradise Beach, but far enough away to get away from everyday life.
Gastronomic offer of Lopar is extremely rich in fifty restaurants, taverns, pizzeria, offers a number of seafood, meat and vegetarian specialties. The emphasis is on healthy foods, especially fish and naturally grown vegetables from local gardens, the quality of locals always been cherished.
